Spin it ONCE – Beginner Wheel Throwing Class @ Patch’s Playhouse

Join us for a one-time, 2 hour pottery wheel class to learn or practice the basics of wheel throwing.  This class is great for all levels.  No experience is needed.  If you already have experience, come refresh your memory and get back into the spin of it all.

Price is $75 and includes EVERYTHING – instruction, demonstration of the basics for beginners on the wheel, clay and tools. Proper cleaning/care techniques for the wheel happens towards the end of class. Select your glaze preference and return in 2-3 weeks to pick up your creations.

Additional Information:

• Limited to ages 13 & up. See our kids’ class offerings for ages 8 & up.
• Class size is limited due to space, we do not allow sit ins for classes. You must be registered to stay for a class.
• Clay can be messy – while it will wash out of clothing, don’t wear your best outfit.
• Bring an apron and/or hand towel – as these are not provided at the studio (you will take these back home after class)
• Long hair should be tied/pulled back.
• FYI long nails can make it hard to work with clay on the wheel – you have been warned.
• Jewelry (rings, watches, bracelets) should be removed before class to prevent unwanted indentions and scrapes in the clay (it’s up to you to secure/guard these items)

Seats are limited therefore NO-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of the event will be forfeited.  If you have a need to reschedule more than 24 hours out, please visit the website to reschedule your ticket. Please note:  Some pieces will not make it through the firings.  This happens in pottery and especially with beginners.  Patch’s Playhouse is not liable for any broken or lost pieces.

Waiver:  In connection with my involvement in ceramic art classes and by booking at Patch’s Playhouse, I hereby release Patch’s Playhouse, its agents, representatives, successors, or assignees, including Patch’s Playhouse owner, management and employees, from all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, demands, costs and expenses which I am now or in the future have against them, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in art classes, including enroute to or from the program or its related events.

I understand that the waiver includes, but is not limited to, all injuries to me and or loss of injuries to any personal property.  I also understand that this waiver includes, but is not limited to, any claims that are based on my alleged negligence or any other action or inaction of any of the above parties.
